AAA (Almost Anything Awesome) Nodes can drastically speed up your design workflow while at the same time allowing you to work non-destructively. Sometimes you might also want to add more complexity to your scene super-fast, and now you can by connecting two or more nodes. There are other similar solutions out there that you should definitely check out, for example Erindale Toolkit. Highly recommended.

Before you start using AAA nodes, keep in mind that most of them won't give you an instant result, unless you apply them to a geometry that you've already placed in the scene. If you want to work 100% procedurally, you will have to start with AAA Primitives, such as AAA (1) Curve and AAA (1) Profile Curves. You can plug primitives into other nodes to generate a geometry with vertices, edges and faces. For example, you can combine AAA (1) Curve and AAA (1) Profile Curves (any available shape) with AAA (3) Curve Master that has both the 'Curve Socket' and the 'Profile Curve Socket'.

When you're happy with your creation, feel free to convert it to a real geometry which you can edit in a more traditional manner. This is very convenient when you want to generate simple assets for your scene. AAA nodes are also great for animation and motion graphics because all the parametric values can be key-framed. You can test it by typing #frame or #frame/35 (or any other value) in any of the value fields and press space bar to start the animation (Esc to stop and reset it). To delete the value you entered, just go over the slider, right click and choose 'Delete Driver'.

FAQ

What product variation is right for me (Pro or Pro Studio)?

Pro - for one (1) user
Pro Studio - for up to five (2-5) users

.

What computer specs are recommended?

This really depends on various factors so make sure that you investigate how geometry nodes affect computer performance. The more geometry nodes you have in your node tree setup, the more processing will be needed. AAA Nodes have been tested on an old ASUS ROG laptop that has Intel Core i7-4710HQ CPU (@ 2.50GHz, 2.50 GHz) and 16GB of RAM.

.

How to use AAA Nodes?

THIS VIDEO is a good start. Simply drag and drop them from inside the Assets browser or append them from AAA_Nodes_X_X_X.blend file via File/Append/NodeTree/AAA and start using them as you would use any other geometry nodes. You can also use them as Blender Assets after you define the correct Assets path. However, if you append them as suggested previously, they'll automatically become Blender Assets inside your current file. After that, you can simply Shift+A/Group and pick the AAA node group you need.

.

Will there be a AAA Nodes addon available?

Maybe. To be honest, atm there's no need for an addon. AAA Nodes are at the same time Assets and Geometry Nodes, which means that, once you define your Assets path, additional addon installation would only complicate things. But, we'll probably deliver AAA Nodes as an addon as well, just to see what fits our users better and then make a final decision about how to deliver the package in the future.

Documentation

AAA Nodes can be added to your project from the 'Asset Browser' or via 'Append' function (from AAA_Nodes_X_X_X.blend file via File/Append/NodeTree/AAA). Other than that, please watch THIS TUTORIAL, the introduction video as well as any other video that might have been released in the meantime.
